This is a fun little treat to make for Halloween. It's so easy to prepare and children and grown-ups love it! I love to make this alongside my HARVEST CHEX MIX throughout the fall season. I've made this with Bugles, Fritos, potato chips, M&M's – and so on. It's effectively adaptable to your preferences!

Ingredients

  • 6 cups mini pretzel twists
  • 2 1/2 cups candy corn
  • 2 cups salted cocktail peanuts
  • 12 oz Wilton bright white candy melts or white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening Crisco

Instructions

  1. Line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside. In a large mixing bowl, add the pretzels, candy corn and cocktail peanuts. Stir to mix well.
  2. In a medium microwave safe bowl, add the shortening and microwave for 30 seconds. Add the white candy melts and stir to mix. Microwave on HIGH in 30 second increments (stirring after each interval) until the white chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Drizzle the melted chocolate on top of the candy corn mixture.
  3. Gently stir to coat evenly.
  4. Transfer the coated candy corn mixture to the lined cookie sheet and spread out with a spatula.
  5. Chill for about 45 minutes to allow the chocolate to completely harden. Before serving, break apart into bite size pieces.
